We gather for a time of prayer in the Chapel.  Join us as we drum together, letting the movement of our hands and hearts be a prayer to God.  All levels of experience welcome for this opportunity.  Instruction and drums will be provided and together we will make a joyful noise to God. New drummers are welcome; drums are provided.

The Green Team is excited to sponsor a showing of the movie, “Kiss the Ground,” on Thursday, September 19 at 7:00 p.m. in Syster Hall. The movie offers a hopeful message about regenerating the earth. How we treat the soil can be the basis for combatting climate change and degradation from pollution. Please join us for this inspiring film, featuring Woody Harrelson as narrator and environmental activist. We offer a showing of this film as part of the activities celebrating the Season of Creation in the month of September.

Manasota Interracial Book Club Keynote Presentation on the ASALH Freedom School

Join us for a keynote presentation by the Manasota ASALH Freedom School, an educational initiative dedicated to preserving and teaching authentic Black history. This event will delve into the historical and contemporary significance of the Freedom School, highlighting its role in countering the erasure and misrepresentation of Black history. Yoleidy Rosario Hernandez, an Afro-Dominican and Taino trans artist, educator, and diversity consultant, will lead the discussion, offering valuable insights into the need for truthful historical education.

The Missions Team invites all of you to a special coffee hour on September 22nd to see a presentation from CenterPlace Health. This vital service in our community has open doors for all folks in need without regard to race, creed, age, housing status, citizenship status, sexual orientation or ability to pay. Come join us to learn more about how we can live our Covenants by supporting these vitally needed services.

We are excited to announce the new pattern for COLLAGE gatherings! Join us for our Zoom meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Additionally, we will host a luncheon on the second Sunday of each month following the 11 am service. When we have a program, we will offer it as a hybrid presentation via Zoom whenever possible. ALL are welcome. This is a wonderful way to connect, catch up, and be a part of our inclusive community.

Community Meal

The monthly community meal that we continue to provide at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church feeds those who are hungry and in need of fellowship. Our guests are treated to a Sandy Smith home cooked meal. The home-baked items provided by our church family add a sweet treat that is heartily enjoyed. Our mission is to feed the hungry and offer fellowship to our guests.
