Our Local Butterflies

Earth’s Tapestry: Interweaving Nature, Community & Climate

Join us on September 27-28 as the Racial Justice Mission Group and Green Team welcome Dr. Lyla June Johnston, a scientist, poet, and artist of Diné, Cheyenne, and European heritage. Dr. Johnston will explore Indigenous values, hidden histories, and their significance in today’s climate crisis, guided by the Diné concept of Hózhó, emphasizing beauty, harmony, and balance. The event will also feature local panelists discussing topics from climate change and environmental racism to healing and community resilience. Click here to register.

Drumming as a Spiritual Practice

We gather for a time of prayer in the Chapel.  Join us as we drum together, letting the movement of our hands and hearts be a prayer to God.  All levels of experience welcome for this opportunity.  Instruction will be provided and together we will make a joyful noise to God. New drummers are welcome; drums are provided.

Comedy for a Cause

Join Family Promise at its fall fundraiser at McCurdy’s Comedy Club as we work to end homelessness in our local area. Tickets are $31.75 with $25 donated directly to Family Promise.
