During season, our choir holds holding regular Wednesday Night rehearsals. We welcome new members with a variety of musical experience to rehearse with us each week. Come and join in the fun, fellowship, spirit, and challenge of singing with our choir.
Patricia and Manny Oliver have been fighting for gun violence prevention since their son Joaquin (“Guac”) was one of 17 people killed in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas school shooting on Valentine’s Day 2018. They’ve been to Washington, DC; Tallahassee, and, in the past few years, have traversed the country in a repurposed yellow school bus to take their message to people around the United States.
On December 6th at 6 p.m., the Oliver’s will bring their message to First Congregational UCC’s Sanctuary as the featured speakers at Brady Sarasota’s 8th Annual Vigil. This important and poignant evening of remarks, music, poetry, and a special lighting of candles has become a yearly event for many members of Brady, the community and this church.

We gather semi-monthly for a holy dialogue on issues related to the realities of racism in our country, community and church. During our gatherings, we raise awareness around issues, build trusting relationships, and commit to loving action. There is always space at the table for you to join us.
We will continue to keep the spirit of Advent through our second Singing our Prayers session led by Greg Chestnut. Greg will be selecting hymns that especially resonate with us during this time.
You will be embraced in the magical setting of our Chapel as Greg leads us in singing our prayers to God that embody all the virtues of the season.
