For all those who have always wanted to know more about the Bible, but were not sure how to dive into Scripture, you are invited to a discussion of, The Good Book by Rev. Peter Gomes.
Two identical class sessions to choose: either on Tuesday nights
OR Wednesday mornings.
Scripture contains poetry, prose, and powerful words that can shape our hearts and lives. Using The Good Book as a conversation starter, and weaving in other insights from Rob Bell, Judy Fentress-Williams, and Eugene Peterson, we will explore how Scripture opens our sacred imagination and helps us make meaning of life. This class will offer all of us a reminder of what the Bible is central to our faith. This is a great way to build a foundation for the Fall when we will launch a small group to read the entire Bible in one year (this offering will correspond with the release of my new devotional book on the same topic). Please let Pastor Wes know if you would like to be part of the conversation on either Tuesday nights or Wednesday mornings. For more information or questions, please contact Pastor Wes.
