Manasota ASALH Freedom School Presentation

Yoleidy Rosario-Hernandez, Program Director of Manasota ASALH (Association for the Study of African American Life and History) presents “Why Do We Need Freedom School? What Do We Teach?”. The Freedom School is a free, community-based Saturday program dedicated to enriching students’ reading and literacy skills while providing comprehensive education on Black history. It is organized by the Manasota branch of ASALH, which is committed to promoting, researching, preserving, interpreting, and disseminating information about Black life, history, and culture.

Lunch will be provided.
