Our Response to Tropical Storm Debby

United in Compassion: How We're Helping

Help Families Affected by Tropical Storm Debby

Your generous donations will support Family Promise in providing temporary shelter, transportation, and essential items for families impacted by the storm. You can donate online at www.familypromisesarasota-manatee.org or mail checks to:

Family Promise of Sarasota Manatee

PBM 267

Every contribution makes a significant difference in the lives of those in need.

Volunteer at the Disaster Recovery Center

Family Promise is seeking compassionate volunteers to assist at their table in the Disaster Recovery Center for Hurricane Debby survivors. Opening on August 19 at Sarasota Christian Church on Ashton Road, the center will operate for a month. Volunteers will guide individuals in completing assistance applications, with no prior experience necessary. Shifts can be tailored to your comfort, lasting between 2 to 4 hours. The center will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 7 PM and on Sundays from 1 PM to 5 PM. A brief training session will prepare volunteers on the application process and center operations. If you are interested in making a difference, please reach out to Tara Maffei, Executive Director.

Support Deb Hays with Gift Cards

Deb Hays has lost everything due to the devastating flooding caused by Tropical Storm Debby. We are collecting gift cards to help her rebuild her life. Gift cards to Walmart, Target, Home Depot, and Visa are especially appreciated. Please bring your donations to church on Sundays through September 1. A member of the Growing and Caring Team will be there to receive your generous contributions. Thank you for your support.

Prayers for Our Community

Lift Up Scott Nutter and Others in Prayer

We ask our congregation to keep Scott Nutter and all those affected by Tropical Storm Debby in your prayers. Scott is dealing with severe flooding in his home, and many others are facing similar challenges. Your prayers provide strength and comfort during these difficult times. Let us come together in faith and support our community through prayer.
