COLLAGE stands for the Coalition of Laity for Lesbian and Gay Equality, reflecting our commitment to inclusion, advocacy, and community within our faith tradition.
COLLAGE is dedicated to creating a welcoming, affirming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals and their allies. Through fellowship, advocacy, and education, we foster a sense of belonging and provide opportunities for support, friendship, and meaningful engagement within our faith community.

A Mission for Our Community
What We Do
COLLAGE is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community through fellowship, advocacy, education, and outreach.
- Community & Connection – Monthly luncheons, Zoom discussions, and special gatherings provide spaces for meaningful conversations and support.
- Advocacy & Awareness – We are a proud member of PFLAG Sarasota and collaborate with organizations like ALSO Youth. We participate in Sarasota Pride, observe Transgender Day of Remembrance, and take part in events like carrying the 700-foot Pride Flag across the Sarasota Memorial Bridge.
- Education & Faith Engagement – We host workshops on LGBTQIA+ inclusion, facilitate discussions on faith and sexuality, and contribute to worship services. Recent efforts include sponsoring an ALSO Youth presentation on pronoun usage.
- Outreach & Giving – We support LGBTQIA+ individuals of all ages through partnerships with organizations like PFLAG Sarasota and SEE Alliance, youth advocacy efforts, and participation in events like Silver Pride.
- Celebrating Diversity – Through concerts, theatrical presentations, and community arts initiatives, we uplift LGBTQIA+ voices and stories while fostering a sense of belonging.
