This week, construct crews were here to pull up the old tile and prepare the floor for the new tile. The crew worked very hard and did a fantastic job. We continue to be grateful to Bud Rives for his leadership on this project. As you know with construction, there are always unforeseen issues. Bud continues to manage this project with thoughtfulness and care. Next Monday, July 31, Complete Hearing Solutions will be here to lay the new t-loop wire. This should greatly improve those who have the t-loop on their hearing aid as the wire will be placed throughout the sanctuary.

We welcome Heidie Heath as our Financial Clerk. Heidie has been working for the last few weeks and is doing a fantastic job. Heidie Heath moved to Bradenton 7 years ago. She and her husband, Glen, of 46 years have lived in nine states and have four grown sons. Bradenton is now their home. Welcome, Heidie!! During my senior year in high school, I tried out for a role in the play, Our Town. I was cast in the role of Stage Manager. I can still remember the rehearsals, trying to memorize my lines and being fitted for a costume. I was so nervous on opening night that I forgot some of my lines.
This summer marks 30 years since that moment and I thought it would be fun to gather a reader’s theater and discussion of Thornton Wilder’s play. Please join me on Tuesday, August 1 at 2 pm in the Oasis Center (note location!) and on Zoom. We will read aloud the play and discuss how Wilder’s words connect to our life.
Please order a copy of the play for yourself wherever you purchase books and come ready to read portions and discuss the themes of this play. Please call or email Pastor Wes if you plan to attend this fun and faith-filled experience.

Pastor Wes will be on vacation, August 7-13th. On Sunday, August 13, we welcome Dr. Christian Hoffman to lead/preach at both the 8:45 am and 11 am worship services. Pastor Wes will return to the office on August 14th.
