Minister of Music
Greg Chestnut, First Congregational’s Minister of Music for the past 29 years, has developed a comprehensive music program and is actively involved in creative worship planning.
Known for our comprehensive and varied music program, 14% of the membership at First Congregational participate in it. The choirs welcome all who love music.
Unique performances, the magnificent backdrop of stained glass in Reed Chapel, ethereal candlelight, and limited seating create an intimate evening with superb local artists.
The sanctuary organ was built by the firm of Daniel Jaeckel of Duluth, MN in 1993. It is a two manual mechanical action instrument of 23 stops and 28 ranks voiced in French Classic style.
Local artists frequently enhance First Congregational’s worship services.
