Balance Class meets on Wednesdays from 10 am to 11 am. Led by our Parish Nurse, Julie Pennella teaches ways to stay active and healthy in body as you age.
Centering Prayer Group ~ This group meets at 5 pm in the Chapel on February 4, 11, 18 and 25. All are welcome.
Wednesday morning Bible Study –is currently discussing the Gospel of John. We meet at 11 am in Syster Hall.
Lakewood Ranch Bible Study – is currently discussing the Gospel of John. We meet at 6:30 pm in the Conference Room at Lakewood Ranch Hospital.
Thursday Knights and Wings – Spring session with an Arts emphasis has begun…and there is still plenty of room for you and your family!! Please join us.
Collage (Coalition Of Laity for Lesbian And Gay Equality) – Collage is an adult LGBT social group that welcomes supporters no matter their sexual orientation. The group seeks to be a safe and supportive place of friendship and extravagant welcome. This is a wonderful chance for support, fellowship, and advocacy information. All are welcome. First UCC Women’s Fellowship Group – UCC Women – February 6 10:30 a.m. – North Sarasota Library Tour Please sign up in Syster Hall. Men and Women are ALL WELCOME!!!! Our own Lovette Harper will be answering questions and giving us a tour of the African American Resource Center.
February 15th – UCC Women will tour Marrietta Museum of Art and Whimsy. Sign up in Syster Hall.
February 23 – UCC Women will attend the Flower Concert at Church of the Nativity.

February Special Events
FEAST (Friends Eating and Studying Together) will begin on Thursday, February 22nd at noon. Each week we will enjoy some food to nourish our bodies and a speaker to nourish our souls.
~ February 22nd we welcome Michelle Roy, a certified Yoga Instructor to walk us through both gentle yoga and also the practice of mindfulness.
~ March 1st ~ Greg and Pastor Wes will offer a praise, poetry, and prayer service.
~ March 8th ~ Diving Deep…using two TED talks (which are short, poignant speeches), we will engage how we listen and learn from ourselves and others.
~ March 15th ~ David Rubin, one of our Buddhist brothers, will come and offer insights from his faith to nourish ours.
On Thursday evenings, Bill Lewis will lead us through a Study of “The Nonviolent Life” by John Dear. The class will meet on Feb 22, March 1, 8, and 22 (skipping March 15) from 6:15 to 7:45. Supper is available from 5:45 to 6:15 with our Thursday Nights program. Before each meeting you should plan on reading about 30 pages and engaging in a spiritual practice. Before the first meeting please read the Introduction through page 41 and engage in silent listening. At each meeting we will reflectively discuss your insights, life application and questions. Seasonal Friends lunch ~ We invite all of our Seasonal Friends to join us for lunch on February 7 or March 21st at 12:30 pm in Syster Hall. This is a great time to connect with other seasonal friends, learn more about the ministry and mission of the church, and enjoy time together. We ask you to please RSVP by calling the church office.
